Email Marketing Manager

Marfeel
Full-time
On-site
Barcelona, Spain, Spain

Who we are:

Marfeel is a fast-growing SaaS company transforming the way digital publishers understand and grow their audiences. Our real-time analytics and activation platform empowers newsrooms and content teams to make data-driven decisions that drive engagement, loyalty, and revenue.

Headquartered in Barcelona with a globally distributed team representing over 15 nationalities, we’re proud of our diverse and collaborative culture. Our people are the driving force behind our innovation—and we’re just getting started.

About the role:

We’re looking for a creative and results-driven Demand Generation Manager to lead Marfeel’s top-of-funnel strategy, with a strong focus on outbound campaigns that spark conversations and generate qualified leads.

In this role, you'll craft messaging that connects with our ideal customer profile, launch high-impact outreach campaigns, and work closely with the sales team to align on personas and pipeline priorities. Your work will be hands-on and strategic: writing, testing, refining, and scaling what works. Your work will also involve nurturing existing leads and ensuring that our database is well-structured, up to date, and leveraged effectively for campaigns.

This is a hands-on role for someone who love the idea of turning bold ideas into pipeline. If you’re as comfortable writing a killer subject line as you are interpreting campaign data—this one’s for you.

What you will do:

  • Own and execute the outbound email marketing strategy to generate qualified top-of-funnel leads & spark sales conversations
  • Write high-performing outreach sequences tailored to verticals, personas, and funnel stages
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align on ICPs, lead handover, and campaign timing
  • Design and implement segmented email campaigns targeting key personas in priority markets.
  • Continuously test and optimise messaging, subject lines, CTAs, send times, and formats to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Build and manage lead nurturing workflows to move cold or early-stage leads through the funnel.
  • Maintain and optimise the CRM database to ensure data cleanliness, enrichment, and proper segmentation.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics (open rates, response rates, conversion, etc.) and use insights to iterate on campaign strategy.
  • Develop playbooks for different outbound sequences based on vertical, geography, or lead stage.
  • Support sales enablement by equipping the sales team with messaging frameworks and outreach templates.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and email marketing best practices to maintain high deliverability and sender reputation.
  • Test and evaluate additional outbound channels, such as LinkedIn messaging, WhatsApp etc...

This is you:
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in outbound marketing, email marketing, demand generation or similar B2B growth roles
  • Outstanding writing & communication skills in English: You know how to write compelling messaging and subject lines that drive opens, clicks, and conversations (please note the the English level needs to be very fluent, native or bilingual level is a must).
  • You have a strong understanding of the full B2B sales process—from lead generation —and know how to design marketing initiatives that support each stage, whether it’s creating awareness for top-of-funnel, nurturing mid-funnel opportunities, or enabling sales with content and insights that help convert late-stage prospects.
  • You’re comfortable diving into different tools (e.g.CRM or marketing automation platforms Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and segmenting audiences to deliver personalised outreach.
  • You're not afraid to test, fail, learn, and try again. A/B testing is second nature to you.
  • You are fluent or bilingual in English. Spanish is a plus, but not required.
  • You’re analytical and data-driven, always looking for ways to improve campaign performance.
  • Highly proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable owning your projects from start to finish
  • You work collaboratively across teams but can also run independently with minimal oversight.
  • You’re familiar with GDPR and email compliance standards and know how to keep your outreach both effective and responsible.
  • You’re curious, commercially minded, and motivated by the idea of having a direct impact on business growth.
