Job Summary

Strong Automotive is looking for a hands-on Email Marketing Performance Analyst to own the performance, deliverability, and continual improvement of our clients’ email programs. You’ll combine technical know-how with marketing savvy to ensure every campaign lands in the inbox, drives measurable results, and supports broader customer-lifecycle goals across multiple automotive brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliverability & Compliance

    • Monitor and improve inbox placement, sender reputation, and authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

    • Stay ahead of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and other regulations; implement best-practice governance.

  • Campaign & Lifecycle Management

    • Direct execution and optimization of  high-volume campaigns and automated journeys across ESPs such as SendGrid, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Iterable.

    • Execute rigorous A/B tests on subject lines, creative, cadence, and segmentation to maximize open and click-through rates.

  • List Strategy & Hygiene

    • Lead acquisition, permission, segmentation, re-engagement, and regular list-cleaning initiatives to avoid spam traps and maintain list health.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting

    • Track KPIs (open, click, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe) and translate insights into actionable next steps for creative, targeting, or technical fixes.

    • Present campaign performance and deliverability health in clear dashboards for internal and client review.

  • Technical Troubleshooting

    • Resolve rendering issues, broken links, dynamic content errors, and blocklist events quickly.

    • Partner with IT and dev teams on DNS, sub-domain, or branded-link setups as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing high-volume email programs (agency or multi-brand environment strongly preferred).

  • Demonstrated success lifting inbox placement and engagement metrics.

  • Deep, hands-on experience with at least one major ESP/CRM (SendGrid, Mailchimp, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.).

  • Proficiency with deliverability monitoring tools (Postmark, 250ok, Inbox Monster, Return Path, or similar).

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email, UTM tagging, and basic SQL or audience-query building.

  • Comfortable interpreting data and presenting clear insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Adept at juggling multiple client deadlines in a fast-moving, results-oriented environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Certifications such as HubSpot Email Marketing, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Google Analytics, or similar.

  • Experience configuring DNS records, custom sending domains, or branded link tracking.

  • Familiarity with CDP or iPaaS tools (Segment, MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier) for data integration.
