EMAIL MARKETING SPECIALIST

Reporting to: Lifecycle Marketing Manager


Job purpose:
As a key member of the Marketing team at Goway, the Email Marketing Specialist supports our efforts to inspire global travel by executing effective email campaigns. This role plays a crucial part in engaging our audience and promoting travel experiences through strategic email communication. Working collaboratively with a passionate team of marketers, the Email Marketing Specialist contributes to the success of our digital outreach during an exciting and transformative time in the travel industry.


What will be your key responsibilities? 

  1. Email Creation and Execution: 
    - Work closely under the direction of the Email Marketing Specialist to support the execution of email marketing campaigns
    - Assist in the ongoing deployment of newsletters, campaigns, and adhoc emails

  2. Analytics & Reporting: 
    - Regularly monitor email performance
    - Generate reports on email campaign results and provide recommendations for improvement

  3. Compliance and Best Practices:
    - Ensure adherence to email compliance standards, including CAN-SPAM
    - Maintain best practices for email design, deliverability, and accessibility
    - Stay updated on email marketing trends, tools, and best practices

  4. Audience Segmentation:
    - Support the segmentation of email lists based on target audience profiles and behavior

  5. Collaboration with Teams:
    - Work with the Design Team to create visually appealing emails
    - Coordinate with the Sales, Product, or Customer Experience Teams to ensure campaign alignment with company goals
                                  

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience working in email marketing

  • Experience with any email marketing tool (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud etc.) 

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, including understanding of email platform rendering differences and multi-device design

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analyzing campaign data and tracking performance metrics

  • High attention to detail when designing and executing campaigns to ensure that emails are error-free and effective

  • An ability to receive and action constructive feedback

Nice-to-have Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Basic SQL knowledge

  • Certifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other automation platforms
